POMONA – A patient was brought in by ambulance to Pomona Valley Hospital on 3/9/2020 in full cardiac arrest. Pomona Valley Hospital staff members immediately provided lifesaving care to stabilize her condition. Pomona Valley Hospital released a statement saying “The patient was immediately placed in isolation and LACDPH was notified of the potential case.” Unknown at this time if the patient has left the state or did any traveling Pomona Valley Hospital has released a statement on the website for any more details. The hospital has identified all staff who came into contact with the patient while providing care and is following all LACDPH guidelines regarding healthcare worker exposure. UPDATE: the patient has died as is the first known death in LA County.
