GARDEN GROVE, CALIFORNIA – The rider of a motorcycle was travelling on the westbound 22 freeway when she suddenly lost control of the motorcycle crashing into the right shoulder of the freeway at Knott Ave. The rider was then ejected from the motorcycle and thrown into lanes where she was struck by a motorist who was unable to stop in time. That driver did stop to call police but when units arrived it had already been too late. The rider was declared dead at the scene and CHP requested CALTrans for a hard closure. No other injuries were reported and the CHP is looking into what may have caused that rider to crash.
