FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK (DCPI) – On Saturday, January 23, 2021 at approximately 0025 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 138 Cumberland Walk (Whitman Houses), within the confines of the 88 Precinct (PSA#3). Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
