1.28.21 | By LNNNYC | WEST ISLIP, Long Island – A fatal rollover collision left one driver dead. It happened at 8:07 pm Thursday at 131 Sunrise Highway. A North Babylon Volunteer Fire Chief was driving westbound on the Sunrise Service Road when he witnessed a vehicle overturn several times in front of the McDonalds at 131 Sunrise Highway in West Islip. The West Islip Fire Department responded to the scene. A female was ejected from the car while it overturned, sources tell me she was 27 years old and was pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital shortly after the crash. The roadway is closed for investigation.
