LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA – On Friday night, January 08, 2021, the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a traffic collision where a stalled vehicle was struck by another motorist. The fatal crash was reported around 11:09pm on the southbound 15 Freeway, just north of Railroad Canyon. According to an officer at the scene, a suspected DUI driver was traveling southbound on Interstate 15 when he swerved and struck a stranded motorist in the center divider. The suspected DUI driver continued southbound on Interstate 15 where he was located near the Railroad Canyon, southbound on ramp, to Interstate 15. The stranded motorist, who was struck, was pronounced deceased at the scene. No further details were immediately available.
