POMONA, CALIFORNIA – At 1:18 am Pomona Pd along with California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a vehicle that flew off the southbound 71 freeway at Holt Ave. Firefighters and officers were able to locate the vehicle that also took out a light pole and a guard rail from the freeway. Pomona Pd located the driver about 100 yards away from the vehicle on Pomona Boulevard. The driver was complaining of injuries to his head. The driver of the SUV was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital. The driver did tell the officers and a bystander that he had been drinking.
