LA HABRA – CALIFORNIA – At 2:30 police received a call about a two vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Harbor Blvd & Lambert Rd. in the city of La Habra. Preliminary details revealed that a white SUV was stopped at a red light on northbound Harbor Blvd when a truck, also travelling on northbound Harbor, was at a high rate of speed crashed into the back of the white SUV. The driver of the truck was killed on impact, the Fullerton police were called in as a mutual aid to assist in the investigation. Fullerton police say it doesn’t appear to be DUI related however it is too early in the investigation to tell. Police say speed was definitely a factor and the coroner will determine if drugs or alcohol are related to the accident. The driver of the white SUV was not injured and declined treatment from fire personnel. Fullerton police are investigating.
