BAKER, CALIFORNIA – At approximately 19:45 CHP and first responders were called for a vehicle accident on Interstate 15 at mile marker 140. A northbound vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and crossed over the center divide, hit another car head on and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. That driver succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the second vehicle had critical injuries and was Airlifted to UMC Medical Center via CHP Helicopter in unknown condition. A third car involved in the accident rolled over and that driver died from their injuries. CHP had the southbound lanes closed and traffic is being diverted onto the shoulder outside the number one lane.
