CLAREMONT, CALIFORNIA – Claremont PD and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a two vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of E. Baseline Rd and North Padua Avenue. Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene they located one person that was still trapped inside a vehicle. The Los Angeles County Fire Department upgraded the call to a person trapped and requested more resources to assist. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to cut open the car to get him out of the vehicle. The victim was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital in critical condition. The driver in the second vehicle was checked out at the scene and refused to be transported. Unknown at the time how the traffic collision occurred or if speed was a factor.
