CARSON CA – At approximately 5:43am a 911 caller reported a white Dodge Challenger had lost control and ended up running off the freeway and down the embankment. When LA County Firefighters arrived on scene they found the vehicle was still occupied by the driver. They called for extra resources to help extricate the patient. After taking vitals of the driver, they cancelled the extrication. Driver was pronounced DOA.
CHP officers arrived and provided traffic control and began an investigation of the incident. It is not known if this was a hit and run or a solo vehicle traffic collision, but the officers ordered a tow company to retrieve the vehicle on a flatbed truck for evidence.
