RIALTO, CALIFORNIA, On Monday June 28th around 7:30pm, CHP began receiving 911 calls about a wrong-way driver in a black sedan driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 210 freeway in the San Bernardino area. At 7:52pm , a head on collision occurred in Rialto on the 210 near Pepper ave. Two vehicles were fully engulfed with fire. One vehicle was a black Tesla, and the other a light colored sedan. It’s unknown at this time if the Tesla was operating on auto pilot at the time of the collision. If this is the case, it’s plausible that the Tesla drove the wrong way without the operator being able to take control. This collision caused at least two fatalies. Unknown which car(s) the deceased were in.
