LA PUENTE, CALIFORNIA – On Thursday May 6, 2021 California Highway Patrol Santa Ana was in pursuit of a vehicle for high-speeds northbound 605 freeway at the 91 fwy. The suspect continued northbound on the 605 to the eastbound 60 with the suspect stopping just before the Azusa exit in the city of La Puente. The suspect remained inside the vehicle for about 30 minutes. The suspect was seen stabbing himself and the steering wheel before throwing the knife out of the vehicle. After about 10 minutes the suspect eventually exited the vehicle and was taken to Custody. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for stab wounds.
