CHINO – CHP Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Valley Fire Department responded to a solo spin out traffic collision westbound 60 freeway just before Mountain Avenue. Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene they located a male that was struck by a big rig that was laying in lanes just before Mountain Avenue. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the male dead on scene. The driver of the big rig told the CHP officer that victim “jumped” out in lanes . About 200 yards down from where the pedestrian was struck CHP found a vehicle that was empty with crash damage on the off ramp at Mountain Avenue with the windshield completely off. Unknown at the time if the male was the driver or passenger of the crashed found vehicle. California Highway Patrol is investigating.
