WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA – On Saturday May 29, 2021 West Covina PD and West Covina FD responded to a traffic collision with one person trapped at E Vine Ave and S Hollenbeck St. Once firefighters and officers arrived on scene they located a female trapped inside the driver’s side of the vehicle. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to cut the door off and get the victim out of the vehicle. Once they got her out CPR was performed. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A black Honda that was traveling eastbound on E Vine Ave at high-speeds did not stop at the Stop Sign and t-boned the victim that was traveling northbound on S Hollenbeck St. There was a second patient that was also transported. Unknown at this time if that’s the driver of the black Honda or a passenger in the vehicle that was t-boned. The boyfriend of the victim that was hit arrived on scene and started to break down crying once he saw the crash. West Covina PD had all intersections closed as they handled their investigation.
