CPR on Man Shot in Back | Harlem, Manhattan

4.10.20 | Video: Adam Balhetchet | HARLEM, Manhattan (DCPI) – On Friday, April 10, 2020, at approximately 1946 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot in front of 1966 1st Avenue, within the confines of the 23rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 23-year-old male victim at the location with a gunshot wound to the lower back. The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, where he was pronounced deceased. A 30-year-old male was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. The investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
