COLTON: On Wednesday, August 1st, around 3:30am, CHP San Bernardino responded to reports of a four vehicle traffic collision on the 215 South, just South of the 10 freeway, with reports of one vehicle on fire. Prior to first responders arrival, several citizens stopped to help. Several citizens, along with California Department of Corrections, and a Public Safety employee worked together to pull the victims of the car fire out of the vehicle while it was still on fire. First responders arrived, and continued rendering aid. According to the California Department of Corrections employee, he was being chased by the car that caught on fire. The reason for the chase is unknown. CHP San Bernardino is investigating the incident.
