At 2:29am flooding was reported near the intersection of Willowbrae Ave and Stanwell St in Chatsworth. Arriving firefighters determined that a water main had broken under the street and was causing water to spill out both sides of the street. LAFD crews closed Willowbrae Ave for fear that the integrity of the ground under the street may be compromised. LAPD is now on scene blocking traffic and LADWP crews have just arrived to assess the damage and work on shutting down the water. Video shows residents being woken up by officers and being asked to move their cars due to the risk of a sinkhole in the road.
