KNOGHTDALE, NORTH CAROLINA – Wake County Sheriffs are investigating a hit and run crash that happened at Knightdale Blvd near Hodge Road. A tow truck driver who witnessed the crash said a dark sedan slammed into the white sedan. The impact of the crash caught on an Exxon Gas Station surveillance camera sent the white car, a Dodge Charger, crashing into trees outside of the Exxon Station. Bystanders at the gas station ran to help when they witnessed the crash. The tow truck driver said after the crash the occupants of the dark colored sedan jumped out of the vehicle and into an awaiting vehicle which then fled the scene. The engine of the dark sedan can bee seen out of the engine compartment. Knightdale Fire Department & Eastern Wake EMS Paramedics responded to the scene. Its not clear if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
