CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (LoudLabs CR) – On October 9th at approximately 2:00 PM, Cedar Rapids Fire Department units responded to a report of a commercial vehicle actively spilling diesel fuel on Interstate 380 at Highway 30. Firefighters responded along with assistance from the Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Cedar Rapids Police Department, Iowa DOT, and Highway Helper, and quickly contained and cleaned up the incident. Southbound traffic was severely impacted for nearly an hour, with traffic moving at a slow crawl due to lane closures while emergency responders dealt with the incident.
