The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance video and photographs in connection to an assault that occurred within the confines of the Midtown South Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at approximately 0545 hours, a 26-year-old male victim was working inside a 711 store located at 589 8th Avenue, when an unidentified male began yelling at him . The male individual then struck the victim multiple times in the face causing pain and bruising while making anti-Asian statements.
The individual is described as a dark-skinned male, medium build, black hair, facial hair and last seen wearing a brown jacket over a gray hoodie with a yellow patch with letters in front, black pants and black sneakers.
