BREA, CALIFORNIA – Shortly after 10:30 pm a driver somehow flew off a freeway bridge that was under construction. The flying car was sent crashing down some 40 feet below landing down an embankment under the freeway. Units from the Brea Fire Department responded to find themselves with somewhat of a difficult extrication, as the vehicle was on its side and heavily damaged. Firefighters worked quickly to free the victim from the car and transport the driver to a local hospital in an unknown condition. The CHP is investigating and the fire department reminds drivers to slow down in the rain and be aware of your surroundings.
