RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA – On Wednesday afternoon October 28th at approximately 1:55 pm Riverside City Fire, Cal Fire Riverside, San Bernardino County Fire, Riverside Police, Homeless Outreach, Riverside Public Works were dispatched to the area of Old Ranch Road and Grand Ave in the city of Riverside for a brush fire.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene to a large brush fire in a heavily wooded area. The fire spread to a nearby Solar farm. Riverside city police departments helicopter was flying overhead and making announcements on their public address speaker for the homeless in the wooded area to evacuate.
Cal Fire Riverside had two water dropping helicopters making water drops on the fire. No structures were threatened. The fire came rather close to the solar farm. The fire is currently under investigation
