MILL BASIN, Brooklyn – A barge was on fire by the belt parkway that started around 12:50 pm Friday. Heavy smoke was seen coming from the barge below the Mill Basin bridge. One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation. The fire was under control at 2:22 pm. Cause of the fire under investigation.
