BROOKLYN: 5 Injured in East Flatbush Residential Fire

5 injured in East Flatbush Brooklyn Residential Fire

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn – On Sunday at 11:25 PM FDNY received a 911 call in regards to a fire at a residence located at 1331 Brooklyn Ave within the confines of 67PCT. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a fire in a cellar of a single family home. Soon thereafter more calls for help came in from 911 in regards to 2 people trapped in the basement. A total of 5 residents in the location were treated for mixed injuries including smoke inhalation by EMS. A displaced mother, young child, and teenage child were amongst those who were treated. The fire was placed under control within 45 minutes. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time pending fire Marshall investigation.
