BROOKLYN: 3 Arrested for Assault & Robbery

BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn – Three suspects were arrested in connection with a violent robbery that left a person injured. This happened on Saturday approximately 2:50 am at 512 84th St within the confines of the 68 Precinct. According to police, the suspects assaulted a person leaving them with broken teeth and a laceration above the right eye. They then robbed the individual of their wallet, cell phone, and sneakers. 68 Precinct division and anti-crime units went on a canvass and located the three suspects at 84th St & Fort Hamilton Parkway. Police brought the complainant to do a show-up where a positive identification was confirmed. Three perpetrators were arrested and has been identified as 21-year-old Joseph Padilla, 21-year-old Charles Lopez, and 22-year-old Wayne Bennet. The victim also claimed shots were fired at them. Upon canvassing the area for shell casings or a gun, none was found. One of them stated “For real. We didn’t fight nobody. We didn’t do nothing. We got stopped for nothing” The victim was transported in stable condition to an area hospital.
