BRONX: Man Fatally Shot in Head

ALLERTON, Bronx – A man was fatally shot in the head at 2824 Bronx Park East. This happened at 8:31 pm on Monday within the confines of the 49th Precinct. Upon arrival of 49 Precinct units, they immediately requested a rush on the ambulance to the scene. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. ESU was requested for evidence search. A level 1 mobilization was transmitted. Two suspects were seen on a roof of a building around Bronx Park East & Britton St. Police put out a citywide hospital search for additional victims. NYPD has identified the victim as 27-year-old Donrass Granville of the Bronx. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. This shooting was among four shootings today following a weekend with no shootings in NYC for the first time in 14 years.
