SOUTH BRONX- A car was on fire on the Major Deegan Expressway & East 149 St around 6:00 am. Firefighters worked quickly to put out the flames as traffic came to a standstill until the flames were brought under control. Unknown if the driver was inside the vehicle, and the cause is unclear at this time.
