BRONX: 3 Firefighters Injured in Bronx 3-Alarm Fire

5.11.19 | Video by Edison Ramirez & Adam Balhetchet | FOXHURST, The Bronx – A 3-alarm fire injured 3 firefighters and forced multiple families to evacuate three apartment buildings. According to the FDNY, the fire started at 11:18 pm on Saturday night, at 1232 Intervale Ave. 33 FDNY units made up of 138 firefighters responded to the 3-alarm fire. The fire was located in the air shaft space between buildings. The fire then extended to the roof and the two buildings on both sides. Three firefighters suffered from non-life-threatening injuries while operating at the fire. The fire was under control at 12:50 am on Sunday. The cause of the fire is being investigated by fire marshalls.
