Boyle Heights: Vacant Apartment Fire

At 11:56pm LAFD received word from LAPD of a structure fire in a vacant building on S Boyle Ave. Fire crews arrived to find a two story apartment building with fire inside one room. Firefighters prevented fire from extending into the attic and called a knockdown in 14 minutes. No injuries have been reported thus far.
Possibly unrelated, one person was taken into custody by LAPD at the scene.
