RIVERSIDE Sunday May 31st, CHP Riverside began chasing a stolen box truck thru multiple parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Several attempts to stop the truck were made. On camera, officers are seen firing less lethal ammunition at the box truck’s tires. Ultimately a spike strip in the city of Riverside disabled the truck’s tires. Several civilians ran up to the suspect and intervened with their focus on the suspect not being brutalized by police.
One of the civilians that intervened did not want to speak on camera, but advised that they feared police were going to kill the man, based on current events. CHP provided SOT
