ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA – According to witnesses the driver of a big rig was making a wide right turn onto Crescent Way from Lincoln Ave when the driver of a Mercedes tried to pass on the right and slammed into the big rig at a high rate of speed. A third vehicle waiting at a red light on Crescent Way was hit by the big rig as a result of the impact of the Mercedes. The Mercedes then caught fire igniting the big rig and in minutes both vehicles became fully engulfed in flames. All drivers managed to escape their vehicles prior to them catching fire. The fire managed to spread to the third vehicle and the driver of that vehicle was checked out by paramedics but was released on scene. The Anaheim Police say it doesn’t appear to be DUI related however speed was definitely a factor. No persons were trapped and all drivers and passengers involved managed to walk away without injury. Anaheim police are investigating.
