SBSO Victorville deputies were out in full force Sunday night in anticipation of vandalism and protest activities spreading to the High Desert. Deputies responded to numerous arson dumpster fires in the area of the Mall of Victor Valley (14400 Bear Valley Road) beginning at 8:07 PM. Victorville Fire also responded and extinguished multiple fires. The SBSO patrol helicopter, 40 King, was in the area monitoring multiple reports of groups forming near the Mall. SBSO deputies are seen on video taking four men into custody in the Parking Lot of the Mall of Victor Valley. The detainees are seen being switched from hand cuffs to heavy duty chains before being escorted to a SBSO Passenger Van. Deputies also responded to similar calls on Seventh Street and near City Hall
