A man was shot in Apple Valley early Saturday morning. The shooting occurred 4:30 AM in the 20300 block of Thunderbird Road. Arriving Apple Valley Fire paramedics found one male victim with gun shot wounds down in front of a residence. SBSO Apple Valley deputies were seen investigating the yard of the residence. A fresh blood pool was seen in the roadway in front of the residence. The victim was transported by AMR to St. Mary’s Medical Center and transferred to a Mercy Air Ambulance and flown to the trauma center at Antelope Valley Regional Medical Center. The condition of the victim is not known but it did not appear that he was breathing on his own during the transport. The circumstance behind the shooting is not known. SBSO Apple Valley is handling the investigation.
