One passenger was ejected and another had to be extricated from a vehicle in a traffic accident Wednesday night in Apple Valley. The accident occurred around 6:45 pm at the intersection of Central Road and Cahulla Road. The accident occurred when the driver of a Red Ford Escape attempted to cross Central Road without stopping. The Escape was struck by a southbound Chev Tahoe. The intersection was an uncontrolled intersection. The ejected passenger was in the backseat of the vehicle and was not wearing her seat belt. SBSO Apple Valley, AMR and Apple Valley Fire responded to the scene. An air ambulance was called for the ejected woman. The second victim was pinned in the front seat of the Ford Escape. She was extricated from the vehicle and was taken to St Mary’s Medical Center. The driver of the Ford Escape was not injured. No injuries were reported in the White Chev Tahoe.
