Police say a driver going way to fast and possibly using the phone while driving could have avoided the single car crash. Shortly before 11:00 pm police received a call about a vehicle that crashed into the center median on E. Canyon Rim Rd, sending his vehicle into a tree before landing on its roof. The driver was the only occupant and was taken to a local hospital for his injuries. Police are investigating and are also reminding the public to not use your phone while driving, it can wait.
