Alleged DUI Driver Arrested After Slow-Speed Pursuit In South L.A.

A man is in custody after leading authorities on a slow speed pursuit in South L.A. this morning. It all started when CHP officers spotted the alleged DUI driver near the 110 Freeway and Vernon Avenue around 2:30 AM, Tuesday. According to the CHP, the driver led them on a pursuit that lasted a few minutes until he pulled over on Hoover Street and 48th Street. The man, scene stumbling, was extremely intoxicated, even urinating when officers took him into custody, according to a CHP Sergeant at the scene. The driver was the only occupant in the car. He is expected to face several charges including misdemeanor evading and DUI.
