A man was airlifted after a car jumped a curb, struck a pedestrian and smashed into a wall in the front of a mini mart in Adelanto Monday morning. The accident occurred around 9:30 AM at the Dunes Market Chevron Station in the 11500 block of Bartlett Avenue near the intersection with Hwy 395. According to a witness (off camera) the driver appeared to hit the gas pedal instead of the break pedal as he pulled into the station parking lot. According to the witness, a pedestrian was in front of the store at the time of the accident and was struck. Two people were transported from the scene of the accident. One was airlifted by SBCo Fire H325 to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with numbness and wounds to the arm. A second person was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The accident is being investigated by SBSO Victor Valley/Adelanto Station.
