91 Freeway BB-Gun Bandit Victims | RIVERSIDE, CA 5.9.21

RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (LLN) – On Sunday night May 09, 2021 the California Highway Patrol responded to a report from a motorist that two windows to their white Honda Civic had been shot out while on the 91 Freeway. The shooting was reported around 10:45pm on the eastbound 91 west of Adams Street. The victim advised he would stand by at the In N Out on Madison Street for officers. While the California Highway Patrol was enroute, the Riverside Police Department responded to a report of a white Dodge Durango which had also been shot at. The victim advised he was standing by for officers in front of Smart Stop Self Storage in the 6600 block of Van Buren Blvd. Medical aid was requested to the scene to evaluate a female occupant of the Durango. According to officers at the scene, the rear window of the SUV was shot out, possibly by a BB gun. Officers with the California Highway Patrol also believe the white Honda Civic’s windows may have been shot out by a BB gun. No one was injured in either incident. It wasn’t immediately clear if both incidents were related.
