APPLE VALLEY, CALIFORNIA – A head-on traffic collision on Hwy 18 between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley left at least four people dead. The accident occurred at 8:32 PM on Hwy 18 between Sierra Pelona Drive and Soledad Drive. Apple Valley Fire responded and found five victims. Four were pronounced deceased on scene and one was flown to the trauma center at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Deputies from SBSO Victor Vallely and officers from CHP also responded. It is believed that CHP Victorville is handling the investigation. The CHP PIO has yet to respond to a request for information.
