WHITTIER,CALIFORNIA – One person was ejected and three others were trapped inside a brand new Mercedes SUV after crashing at high speeds hitting a tree and parked cars. The ejected victim was immediately pronounced dead and covered with a yellow blanket. LACOFD freed two victims and transported them from the scene. The fourth victim was freed from the wreckage and pronounced dead, they were covered as well.
The vehicle was traveling west when the driver hit the center median losing control crossing all eastbound lanes hitting a tree. He then bounced off the tree hitting a parked vehicle causing a chain reaction crash with the vehicles parked behind it. The SUV landed on its side and had the roof cut off for the extrication of victims.
